Saudi Arabia Condemns the "Ramming Incident": "The Kingdom Expresses Solidarity with the German People and the Families of the Victims"

Following the ramming attack last night in Magdeburg, carried out by a Saudi psychiatrist who migrated to Germany, the Saudi Arabian Foreign Ministry sends a letter of condemnation and support to the German people, stating Saudi Arabia's firm stance against violence and expressing its sincere condolences to the victims' families and to the government and people of the Federal Republic of Germany

The Saudi Arabian Foreign Ministry expresses its condemnation "of the incident that occurred at the market in the city of Magdeburg, Germany, where a vehicle charged into crowds, causing the death and injury of several people."

As a reminder, in the attack that occurred last night (Friday), at least 2 people were killed and 68 injured when a 50-year-old Saudi man, who migrated to Germany in 2006, drove his vehicle into the crowd at the local Christmas market in the city of Magdeburg, located about two hours from Berlin. 

The Saudi Foreign Ministry adds and states: "The Kingdom expresses solidarity with the German people and the families of the victims. The Kingdom reaffirms its stance in rejecting violence, and expresses its sincere sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims, the government, and the people of the Federal Republic of Germany and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured."
