To this end, Toyota is expanding its range of electric vehicles. Several new electric models were unveiled at the forum:

1.Toyota +C-HR: A new electric crossover with a sophisticated coupe design, offering two battery sizes (57.7 kWh and 77 kWh) with the option for front or all-wheel drive.

2. Upgraded Toyota bZ4X: A comprehensive facelift for the electric crossover, including a new design, improved propulsion systems, advanced charging features, and a significant upgrade to the driving range.

3. Electric Urban Cruiser: A compact electric model with advanced battery technology and energy-saving features.

4. In addition, Toyota unveiled the FT-Me concept vehicle, a tiny electric urban car with two seats, suitable for navigating crowded urban environments.

The luxury brand Lexus displayed the new generation of Lexus RZ, the well-known electric crossover now equipped with new technologies. Among them are a completely electric Steer-By-Wire steering system with no mechanical connection; Interactive Manual Drive - a technology simulating a manual driving experience in an electric vehicle; and an upgrade to the DIRECT 4 propulsion system - which includes smart power distribution between the front and rear axles to improve driving stability and vehicle performance.

Additionally, Lexus announced that it will expand its range of electric models with the launch of three new models by 2026.

The new models from Toyota and Lexus combine advanced batteries, allowing for improved driving range; pre-heating of the battery to enhance charging performance (especially in cold weather); and higher power charging options, including home charging at a maximum pace of 22 kW and fast charging at a maximum rate of 150 kW.

The brands continue to develop new technologies, including solid-state batteries that are expected to improve driving range and charging times. Alongside electric models, Toyota is also investing in the development of alternative fuels and carbon-neutral internal combustion engines (such as biofuels and synthetic fuels known as e-fuel). For years, Toyota has been using renewable fuels in its racing vehicles, including the GR010, GR Yaris Rally1, and GR Supra GT4.

What about the manufacturer's racing division?
This year, Toyota will return to the Nürburgring racetrack and compete with the GR Yaris Nur24. At the same time, the GR Yaris M concept vehicle, a prototype featuring a new G20E internal combustion engine capable of running on carbon-neutral fuels or hydrogen, will compete this year in the Super Taikyu race.
