New Emirates lounge at Manchester Airport. Photo: Emirates Emirates has opened its new £10 million lounge at Manchester Airport, bringing the airline’s latest lounge concept to the UK for the first time.

Photo: EmiratesThe new facility is located in Terminal 2 and combines redesigned seating and dining areas with work spaces, shower suites, quiet areas and direct boarding from the lounge to the aircraft. Emirates says the lounge includes more than 50 design enhancements.
New Emirates lounge at Manchester Airport. Photo: EmiratesThe airline has operated from Manchester Terminal 2 since November 2025, when its flights moved from Terminal 1. The new lounge replaces the temporary lounge arrangement that had been available while the facility was being built.
The investment introduces Emirates’ latest signature lounge design to the UK.
The interior includes Italian eco-leather seating, wireless charging and universal power at every seat, along with herringbone flooring and the airline’s signature scent. Rolex clocks showing different global time zones are also part of the design, while displays feature international artists and elements of Emirati culture.
New Emirates lounge at Manchester Airport. Photo: EmiratesThe lounge is divided into areas for relaxing, working, socialising and dining. Passengers can also use upgraded shower suites with VOYA toiletries, a Quiet Zone with sleep amenities, private spaces and prayer rooms.
One of the more notable features is the ability to board directly from the lounge to the aircraft. Emirates says it is currently the only airline at Manchester Airport offering this arrangement.

An open kitchen prepares dishes to order, while a barista serves coffee with designs inspired by Manchester, including the city’s bee symbol. A dedicated mixologist also serves cocktails and mocktails, including a signature drink made with Vimto Summer, grenadine, lemonade and fresh strawberry.
New Emirates lounge at Manchester Airport. Photo: EmiratesThe local menu includes Fleetwood marinated king prawns, Fleetwood sea bream and Wigan meat and potato pie. Passengers can also find Shetland kippers with crumpets and poached egg, Lancashire smoked trout and Cheshire cheeses.

The new lounge is open in line with Emirates departures and is available free of charge to First Class and Business Class passengers, as well as Skywards Platinum and Gold members, including those travelling in Premium Economy and Economy.
Other Emirates passengers can purchase access to the lounge on arrival, subject to availability. The lounge can be accessed up to four hours before departure.
The Manchester opening is part of Emirates’ wider investment in its airport lounge network. The airline says its new-generation lounges are now operating in Munich, Frankfurt and Manchester, with further lounge upgrades planned.
