The operator said limited services will run on Friday, October 2, Saturday, October 3, Sunday, October 4 and Monday, October 5, 2026.
The biggest changes will affect the weekend, when Lumo will operate a limited number of services between London King’s Cross and Scotland. Passengers travelling to Edinburgh or Glasgow should pay particular attention to the revised timetable before setting out.
According to Lumo, there will be no services calling at Edinburgh or Glasgow Queen Street on Saturday (October 3) or Sunday (October 4).
The disruption is linked to engineering works taking place during the period. The works are also affecting passengers today, Monday (September 28) between London King's Cross and Edinburgh/Glasgow.
The operator has advised passengers to check the latest travel information before travelling, as services and calling patterns will differ from the normal timetable.
"During times of disruption, Lumo may aim to arrange for your Lumo tickets to be accepted fee-free on alternative travel with other operators. Although this may not always be possible dependant on the day and disruption type, please see the possible alternative routes that we may arrange to help you get to your destination.
Should any disruption be encountered on the day, please check our Lumo live train information, message our Social Media team or visit the National Rail website, where you’ll be able to find the customer alternative travel arrangements, as not all the alternative routes will be available for Lumo ticket holders to travel fee-free."
Lumo operates direct rail services between London and Scotland, with London King’s Cross providing the southern terminus for its Scottish routes.
For passengers planning weekend trips, the changes could be particularly relevant because Edinburgh and Glasgow are among the key destinations served on the network.
