Photo: Etihad Etihad Airways is expanding its operations in Australia. Today. Monday, September 28, the airline announced an increase in flight frequency on the route between Abu Dhabi and Sydney.
According to the company's announcement, starting December 15, 2026, the route will operate two flights daily, seven days a week, meaning 14 weekly flights in each direction.
The company will operate the flights on its Airbus A350-1000 aircraft. Business class offers seats with private doors that convert into fully flat beds, 18.5-inch touchscreens, Bluetooth connectivity and wireless charging.
The company says the increased frequency is intended to give passengers more flexibility and improve options for connecting flights via Abu Dhabi to destinations across the Middle East, Europe and beyond.
The move further expands the company's operations in Sydney. Etihad already transferred its ten weekly flights on the route to A350 operations about a year ago; it is now increasing the frequency to 14 weekly flights.
