Ryanair. Photo: Shutterstock Ryanair continues to expand its operations in Poland, announcing a particularly large move in Warsaw ahead of the 2026 winter season.
This winter, the company will operate 46 routes from Warsaw's two airports, including 18 new routes, 11 from Warsaw-Modlin Airport and 7 more from Chopin Airport.
At the same time, Ryanair will add three aircraft based in Modlin, bringing the number of aircraft stationed there to nine. According to the company, this is an additional investment of $300 million, which brings the total investment in the fleet based in the region to $900 million.
From Warsaw-Modlin Airport, Ryanair will operate 30 routes this winter, including 11 new routes: Birmingham, Bratislava, Bristol, Budapest, Copenhagen, Edinburgh, Manchester, Palma de Mallorca, Shannon, Stockholm and Zagreb.
In addition, the company will increase the frequency of flights on seven existing routes, including Dublin, Madrid and Malta.
Ryanair estimates that the move will almost double passenger traffic at Modlin to 3.2 million passengers per year.
At the same time, the company is also expanding operations from Warsaw Chopin Airport. This coming winter, Ryanair will operate 16 routes from there, including 7 new ones: Bari, Bologna, Catania, Liverpool, Naples, Turin and Venice.
According to the company's forecast, the annual number of passengers from Shofen will increase by 50% and reach approximately 800,000 passengers.
If you connect the two airports, Ryanair is targeting about 4 million passengers a year in Warsaw, 3.2 million via Modlin and another 800,000 via Chopin.
The move fits into Ryanair's extensive expansion in Poland, where it currently operates flights from 13 airports and flies more than 24 million passengers a year.
The company notes that its operations in Poland support more than 22,000 jobs, including at the company's headquarters in Warsaw, the training center in Krakow, the IT center in Wroclaw, engineering centers and operational bases.
On the occasion of the publication of the new winter schedule, Ryanair launched a three-day sale in Poland that includes 100,000 seats at prices starting at 99 zlotys (about $25).

The new move once again emphasizes the importance that Ryanair attaches to the Polish market, and especially to Warsaw, where it is simultaneously expanding both the base in Modlin and the route network from Szczecin.
