With these words, Manos Vatzolas, Commercial Manager of the Greek Domes Hotels, now expanding to new destinations—opens our conversation.

Vatzolas recently visited Israel as a guest of WTC, the exclusive representative of Domes Hotels in Israel.

"A large portion of our guests are Israelis from the tech industry, many of whom are looking for staycations. I wouldn’t call them just vacationers; I’d call them ‘experience collectors.’ And what’s important to understand is that today, our brand caters to every type of traveler - from upscale and premium to the highest level of luxury".
What Do You Mean by 'Experience Collectors'?
"Our guests don’t just begin and end their vacation at the hotel. You mentioned "Farm to Table" restaurants, but you now have your own Michelin-starred restaurant.
"We are the only hotel chain in the world that operates a restaurant located outside the hotel with a Michelin star".

An impressive achievement by all accounts.
"Not only for the restaurant but also for contemporary Greek cuisine", says Vatzolas. "Led by Chef Petros Dimas, the menu focuses on high-quality local ingredients, and since it’s Farm to Table, it’s important to mention that the restaurant operates with a commitment to sustainability, using a private farm in Corinth".
The chain's commitment starts long before the professional services tailored for vacationers, and before the lavish restaurant.
The service of Domes begins at the hotels, about 15 in total as mentioned, spread across Greece and abroad.
In Crete the chain operates 4 hotels, in Corfu two, one hotel in Chalkidiki, one in Mykonos , and one in Santorini, as well as a hotel on the island of Milos. Outside of Greece, the chain holds properties in Ibiza and Tenerife in Spain and also in Italy and more. "But we haven't talked about Athens yet", says Manos.

"All the hotels are special, but what’s happening at 91 Athens Riviera is a story of its own. The hotel is located on the southern coastline of Athens and is a unique combination of nature and luxury.

Upon arrival, you see the luxurious and designed cabanas, which might be familiar as "glamping" elsewhere, each equipped with king-size beds, well-appointed bathrooms, and private balconies".
And what is located outside of the cabanas?
"Advanced fitness facilities, relaxing spa treatments, an outdoor swimming pool, and of course culinary experiences at the restaurant Barbarossa with a rich Mediterranean menu".

You emphasize that Israelis feel right at home in Domes resorts. And with Passover approaching, we understand that the brand is preparing to welcome Israeli tourists.
"Unlike other hotel chains, we know how to adapt to Israelis who don’t necessarily want to find themselves in an entirely Israeli-dominated hotel during the holidays", says Vatzolas, a frequent visitor to Israel who has been there more than 20 times.
"I know the Israeli crowd. We mark and celebrate the holidays, and we’re very aware of what Israeli guests want and need. We adjust our services accordingly and always respect their requests. It’s important to note that we don’t operate a kosher kitchen, but Israelis can rest assured that they’ll find everything they need - and more - when they stay with us. As I’ve said before, we take care of everything for our guests, and then go beyond that".
