During preparations for takeoff of a flight from Larnaca to Tel Aviv, TUS Airways staff identified a discrepancy in the passenger count. Upon inspection, they discovered a female passenger on board who had not completed the required border control procedures.
The incident occurred a few days after a flyDubai flight was flown by a pilot who attempted to crash the plane en route to Israel, initially reported as a violent fight among crew members.
TUS Airways told PassportNews that the crew's vigilance and strict adherence to control procedures and passenger counting made it possible to identify the incident even before takeoff.
The passenger was taken off the plane and transferred to the care of the relevant authorities, and Larnaca Airport is examining the matter.
The company also stated that "we would like to emphasize that at no point was there any danger to the passengers and crew, and this was an administrative matter of border control, and the aircraft crew acted optimally. TUS Airways operates in accordance with the mandatory security and safety procedures and will continue to adhere to them on every flight. The safety and security of passengers and crew are our top priority."
