Luxury cruise line Silversea, part of the Royal Caribbean Group, is unveiling an extensive cruise program for the 2028-2029 season, including 103 new cruises around the world.

The program runs from September 2028 to May 2029 and includes visits to 219 destinations in 56 countries, including 29 new ports that will join the company's routes; cruises are already open for public sale.

75 Nights Around South America

One of the program's most prominent itineraries is a 75-night cruise around South America, incorporating some of the continent's most prominent destinations and regions.

The itinerary is expected to include, among other things, transiting the Panama Canal, visits along the coast of South America, sailing around the Antarctic Peninsula, and arriving in Rio de Janeiro during Carnival.

This is an itinerary designed for passengers looking for a long, integrated voyage, not just a one- or two-week cruise.

Antarctica and the Polar Regions, Included

Silversea also continues to give significant weight to Expedition cruises and remote areas.

The new program includes cruises to Antarctica and other destinations where the company operates ships adapted for expedition voyages, alongside traditional luxury itineraries in the Mediterranean, Asia, Australia and South America.

Some of the new cruises will also be built around culinary and seasonal experiences. Among other things, cruises are planned in Italy, Spain and Asia that will be timed to coincide with the seasons of wine, truffles and local food markets.

In recent years, Silversea has been integrating the culinary field as a significant part of its product, including through the SALT - Sea And Land Taste program, which connects the food served on the ship with the local cuisine at each destination.

In addition to expanding the number of sailings, the company is adding 29 new ports of call to its network.

This means that some itineraries will include destinations not previously featured on Silversea's regular program, along with extending stays in certain ports and increasing the number of cruises that include overnight stays in port.

The new sailings are scheduled for the period between September 2028 and May 2029, and public sales open on October 8, 2026.
