Passengers planning to travel by train between Munich and Prague are expected to face significant changes to timetables starting Thursday, October 15, 2026.

Following work on the track and switches being carried out by DB InfraGO, train traffic on line RE 25 will be suspended on the section between Schwendorf and Domzelitz until November 20 at 01:05.

The changes will also affect the Oberpfalzbahn's RB 27 line. As part of the work, trains between Schwendorf and Cham and between Fort im Wald and Domzelitz will be canceled. There will also be no trains on the Alex RE 25 line between Schwendorf and Domzelitz.

An alternative bus system will be operated instead of the trains. For passengers on the direct line between Munich and Prague, express buses will be operated between Schwendorf and Pilsen. On some routes, changes will apply to departure times and travel times will be longer than usual.

In addition, on October 17 and 24, the last service of the RB 27 line from Schwandorf to Fort im Wald will also be canceled, and it will be replaced by a bus.

Passengers are advised to check the updated schedule and details of alternative bus routes before setting off, especially in light of changes in departure and arrival times and the possibility of extending the duration of the trip.
