According to the Brussels International Airport announcement, operations at the airport will be effectively suspended on Monday, March 31.
The airport management states: "Due to a nationwide strike on Monday, March 31, and the announced strike of a large number of security and ground staff, we expect significant disruptions at the airport on that day."
The airport management adds: "To ensure the safety of passengers and staff, we have decided, in consultation with airlines, not to operate any departing passenger flights on March 31. Airlines will contact passengers whose flights are affected. We ask that passengers do not come to the airport on that day."
Regarding incoming flights expected to arrive at the airport on that day, according to the airport management's announcement: "Since outgoing passenger flights are canceled, there may also be cancellations for incoming flights. We recommend all passengers to check the status of their flight with their airline or on our website or app. Flight status on our website will show cancellations only after an official notification from the airline," and of course, the airport expresses regret "for any inconvenience caused as a result of this workers' union action."
