Emirates has officially opened a dedicated Travel Store in Tokyo’s Otemachi district, expanding its retail presence in Japan as the airline prepares to increase flights to the country later this month.
The opening ceremony brought together Emirates executives, Japanese aviation officials, the UAE ambassador to Japan and representatives from Tokyo’s travel industry and local media. Attendees included Shihab Ahmed Al Faheem, UAE Ambassador to Japan; Orhan Abbas, Emirates’ Senior Vice President for Commercial Operations in the Far East; and Satish Sethi, the airline’s country manager for Japan.
Self-Service Kiosk and Selfie Mirror
Located on the first floor of Otemachi One in Chiyoda-ku, the new store follows the opening of Emirates’ Osaka Travel Store in July 2025. It gives customers in the greater Tokyo area a place to book flights, get travel advice and plan itineraries with multilingual consultants serving Japanese and international visitors.
The interior features beige lounge chairs and contemporary furnishings, along with a self-service kiosk and a queue management system. Visitors can also use a selfie mirror featuring backgrounds of destinations served by Emirates. An Emirates Boeing 777 Business Class seat is on display.
The Tokyo store is open Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. It is closed on weekends and public holidays.
Emirates to Increase Narita Flights
Japan remains an important market for Emirates, which operates services between Dubai and Tokyo’s Narita and Haneda airports, as well as Kansai International Airport in Osaka.
From October 26, 2026, the airline is scheduled to add another service to Narita. The additional flight will bring Emirates’ total passenger operations to and from Japan to 28 flights per week.
The new service will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, offering more than 300 passenger seats in each direction and an additional 20 tonnes of daily cargo capacity.
The increase will give passengers traveling between Japan and Dubai more options, while adding freight capacity on the route.
