The Greek Meteorological Service warns of wind gusts that could be 40% stronger than normal, and maximum wave heights that could reach twice the predicted height.
The latest warning from today (October 15), which follows yesterday's weather warnings that mostly failed to materialize, mainly concerns the Aegean Sea and the eastern Mediterranean. This may lead to changes in ferry schedules and cruise lines in Greece.
According to the Greek National Meteorological Service (EMY), winds are moving slowly eastward. At present, the attached forecast does not specify which ferry lines are expected to be delayed or canceled, so it does not confirm any disruptions to certain lines.
Passengers planning a cruise between the Greek islands are advised to check with the ferry companies about the sailing conditions before leaving for the port, especially on routes that pass through areas exposed to winds and high waves.
