Cyprus Airways continues to expand its international destination network, announcing the opening of a new direct flight route between Larnaca International Airport (LCA) and London Stansted Airport (STN).

According to the company's announcement, flights on the new route will begin on April 23, 2027, and will operate daily throughout the year. This means seven weekly flights in each direction, even during the winter season.

The company notes that this is another milestone in its expansion plan, which aims to strengthen Cyprus' air connectivity with key destinations in Europe. Tickets for the new route are already available for booking on the company's website.

The new route is designed to serve both business and leisure travelers, as well as residents wishing to visit relatives and friends in both countries. The UK is considered one of the main source markets for inbound tourism to Cyprus, and expanding flight connectivity between the countries is an important pillar of the island's airline operations.

The choice of London Stansted Airport allows Cyprus Airways to offer an additional direct service to the London area and strengthen its presence in the British market.

Stansted, located northeast of the British capital, serves a wide range of international routes and serves as a gateway to London and the East of England.

The opening of the London route joins Cyprus Airways' recent expansion moves in Europe. The company has already announced the launch of direct flights from Larnaca to Rome Fiumicino starting December 11, 2026 and to Munich starting December 17, 2026, with a frequency of twice a week to each destination.

In addition, starting October 28, 2026, the company is expected to increase the number of flights to Heraklion, Crete, to three weekly flights.

The airline has not yet released the full flight schedule or the type of aircraft that will be operated on the new route. Cyprus Airways said the daily service is designed to expand travel options between Cyprus and the UK, give passengers greater flexibility throughout the year and strengthen the airline's international route network.
