Iberia and Aerolíneas Argentinas have reached an agreement, which takes effect on March 27, 2025, whereby customers of both airlines will be able to fly with one ticket to over 37 destinations within Argentina and 29 within Spain.
Customers purchasing their tickets through Iberia, who previously had to secure a separate flight to cities beyond Buenos Aires, now have access to 37 destinations within the country operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas, including destinations such as: Cordoba, Mendoza, Bariloche, Mar del Plata, Rosario, Ushuaia, Iguazu, and more.
Similarly, passengers of Aerolíneas Argentinas will have 29 cities within Spain available to them, which they can reach via flights operated by Iberia from Madrid, including: Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Bilbao, Malaga, Granada, Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza, Tenerife, and more.
Traveling between Argentina and Europe will be easier and more convenient than ever, as all journeys will be conducted with one booking and one check-in from the departure city to the final destination.
For example, an Iberia passenger will be able to fly from Madrid to Bariloche, connecting in Buenos Aires on a single ticket. Conversely, Aerolíneas Argentinas passengers will be able to fly with the same ticket from Buenos Aires to Bilbao via Madrid.
Fabian Lombardo, President and CEO of Aerolíneas Argentinas, stated, "This alliance with Iberia is a natural response to our historical cultural and business ties. Argentinians have deep roots in Spain, and such an agreement will allow us to bring them closer to their origins through a new network of destinations, while adding a partner with a wonderful reputation for passengers that will enable more travelers to reach the destinations we have to offer in Argentina."
Marco Sansavini, CEO and President of Iberia, emphasized, "We are very proud to announce this alliance with Aerolíneas Argentinas, a company with a long history of services in Latin America. Thanks to this agreement, we will be able to offer our customers the best travel options in a relevant market like Argentina. From now on, more than 2,000 people, who we have every day on the three flights from Madrid to Buenos Aires, will have a complete local connectivity network to move comfortably and efficiently across beautiful Argentina."
