The Romanian national airline TAROM has been named Supplier of the Royal House of Romania for air transport services, receiving the distinction in a special ceremony.
The certificate was presented to the airline by Her Royal Highness Princess Elena, representing Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown.

“We are inaugurating a partnership that honors us because it represents the expression of trust in TAROM and in the quality of our services from the Royal House of Romania,” Anghel said. He added that the distinction was a reminder of the expectations associated with the airline’s long history.
Founded in 1954, TAROM has played a role in the development of Romanian civil aviation for more than seven decades, connecting cities across Romania and linking the country with international destinations.
The airline said the recognition reflects the work of employees across its operations, including flight crews, technical specialists, commercial staff and administrative and support teams. It highlighted safety, service quality and operational continuity as central to its work.
The title marks a new milestone in TAROM’s history as Romania’s national carrier. The company said it would continue providing air transport services to the Royal House while maintaining its focus on safety and quality.
TAROM operates under the authority of Romania’s Ministry of Transport and has been a member of the SkyTeam airline alliance since June 2010. The company reports a fleet of 12 aircraft and serves around 50 destinations through its own flights and codeshare partners. It has also been a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) since 1993.
A new chapter began for TAROM on September 3 as the Romanian national airline officially took over its first Boeing 737 MAX in Seattle, with two flight crews flying the aircraft home to Romania.
