HiSky, the young airline operating regular and charter passenger flights since 2021 with bases in Romania and the Republic of Moldova has avoided a potentially serious disruption to its flight operations in Romania after paying its outstanding debts to ROMATSA, the country’s air navigation services provider.

In an answer provided to PassportNews by the Office of the Director General RA ROMATSA, the company said that the airline "paid its outstanding payment obligations to ROMATSA for terminal air navigation services."

"Consequently, ROMATSA's notice of 29 October 2026 regarding the suspension of these services as of 1 November 2026 ceases to have effect. Air navigation services for HISKY EUROPE SRL continue to be provided under normal conditions."

The payment came shortly after the agency notified the airline that it would stop providing terminal air navigation services from November 1, 2026.

The announcement removes the immediate threat of a suspension that could have prevented HiSky aircraft from operating at airports across Romania.

The potential consequences were significant because the planned suspension covered all airports in Romania. Had the issue remained unresolved by the deadline, HiSky could have faced a major operational problem, with its ability to operate flights in the country affected.

HiSky serves more than 30 domestic and international destinations, "ensuring reliable and comfortable travel" for its passengers.
