Alerts at European airports following a series of reports of bomb threats on several flights.

According to online reports, during the day (Tuesday, October 3) various flights across the continent were diverted and security checks were conducted after landing, following reports of threats.

Among the airlines whose flights were affected by the events is the LOT flight to Warsaw, but there are also publications about other airlines. According to reports online, all flights inspected so far have been approved after no findings indicating danger were found.

Another incident was reported today at the Murcia International Airport in Spain, where a plane arriving from Manchester was inspected for suspected explosives. The Spanish Guardia Civil conducted an inspection of the plane, and no explosives were found. The airport has since returned to normal operations.

The person who posted the update on the end of the event in Murcia was Francisco Lucas Ayala, who serves as the Spanish government representative in the region of Murcia (Delegado del Gobierno). This is a regional government position in which he represents the central government and works with state bodies in the region.

In a statement posted on X, Lucas wrote that the Civil Guard ruled out the presence of explosives on the plane after an inspection, and that the airport had returned to normal operations. He also thanked the emergency teams that participated in handling the incident.

At this stage, it has not been announced whether the incident in Murcia is related to the other reports of threats on flights across Europe, and no further details have been released about the source of the threat.
