Wizz Air continued its strong growth across Europe in October 2026. According to the airline's official traffic figures, Wizz Air transported 7,624,319 passengers last month, up from 6,362,498 in October 2025, a year-on-year increase of about 19.8%.

Wizz Air published the figures in an official filing with the London Stock Exchange on November 3, 2026.

Capacity Expansion Outpaces Passenger Growth

Despite higher passenger numbers, Wizz Air's load factor fell to 91.2% in October, down from 92.9% in October 2025.

The 1.7% decrease comes as the airline continues to expand the number of seats and flights available across its network.

The figures suggest capacity is growing slightly faster than passenger demand, as Wizz Air adds routes, increases frequencies, and strengthens its presence in key European markets.

Nevertheless, the airline maintained considerably higher traffic levels than a year earlier, even after the peak summer travel season had ended.

Passenger numbers over the 12 months to October reached 80.6 million, a 19.6% year-on-year rise.

Strong Passenger Numbers Continue After Summer

October's results follow several months of particularly high passenger volumes for the Hungarian low-cost carrier.

In September 2026, Wizz Air carried approximately 7.78 million passengers. Traffic reached nearly 8.7 million in August and exceeded 8.35 million in July.

By comparison, the airline transported around 6.36 million passengers in October 2025.

The latest figures indicate that Wizz Air has maintained much of its expanded operational scale beyond the traditional summer peak, with October traffic almost one-fifth higher than a year earlier.

More Than 500 Million Passengers Since Launch

Wizz Air also reports on its official investor website that it has carried more than 500 million passengers since the airline was established.

The company continues to expand its fleet and route network across Europe as part of its strategy to strengthen its position in the continent's low-cost aviation market.

Its expansion includes opening new bases, launching additional routes and increasing operations in existing markets.

October's results provide another indication of the scale of Wizz Air's growth: more than 7.6 million passengers in a single month and nearly 20% year-on-year growth, despite a lower load factor.
