Albanian Prime Minister hosted the inaugural flight passengers of Sundor Airlines to Tirana at the presidential palace.
The airline Sundor, part of the El-Al group, launched yesterday (Wednesday) a special ceremony for the new flight route from Tel Aviv to Tirana, Albania.
The event took place at Terminal 1 of Ben Gurion Airport, with the participation of the Albanian Ambassador to Israel, Mary Kombo, the Honorary Consul of Albania, Sani Senilovic, CEO of Sundor, Gal Gershon, and the passengers of the first flight.
Upon the plane's landing in Tirana, an official welcome ceremony was held, including the traditional welcoming ritual. The passengers were greeted in a festive atmosphere and enjoyed traditional refreshments with the participation of Israel's ambassador to Albania, Galit Peleg.
Later, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama hosted the passengers of the inaugural flight for a special festive dinner at the presidential palace, which was also attended by the Minister of Infrastructure and Tourism of Albania and about 140 passengers from the flight.

Albania, known as the gem of the Balkans, offers Israeli vacationers stunning beaches in the south, mountainous landscapes in the north, historic cities, rich cuisine, and vibrant nightlife in Tirana.

The Albanian Ambassador to Israel, Mary Kombo, said that on behalf of the Albanian government, she is proud and welcomes the opening of the route that will connect the countries and strengthen the unique ties between them.
The Honorary Consul of Albania in Israel, Sani Senilovic, noted that the opening of the route will contribute to promoting business and trade relations between the countries, which have significant growth potential.
