Despite ongoing security concerns and a tense geopolitical environment that has led some foreign airlines to scale back or suspend regular operations in Israel, Israeli travelers are not staying grounded — far from it.
Data from March 2025 reveals a noticeable shift in preferred travel destinations, with the United Arab Emirates taking the lead.
The UAE recorded the highest number of Israeli passengers, with 131,052 travelers — a staggering 135.46% increase compared to March 2024.
This sharp rise not only positions UAE as the most popular destination for Israelis last month, but also highlights a broader trend: Israelis are eager to travel, seeking both familiar and emerging destinations, even as some international carriers remain hesitant to resume full operations in the region.
In second place is again the U.S. with 109,867 passengers - a slight decrease of 0.52% compared to March 2023.
Italy closes the top three with 108,145 passengers - an increase of 106.20%.
