SAS Airlines announces the launch of business class on its European flights.
The new service will begin operating on October 1st, and will apply to all international flights within Europe, including flights between Scandinavian countries.
According to the company, the service is aimed at business passengers and travelers looking for a higher level of comfort, flexibility in service, and a premium flying experience. The company also added in its announcement that business class has been designed to provide a consistent and clear service experience that aligns with the service levels of other airlines.
The sale of tickets for the European business class will begin on May 6th.
The new business class will include:
- An upgraded culinary experience, featuring a luxurious set of reusable utensils and dishes tailored to diverse audiences.
- A dedicated cabin at the front of the aircraft, separated by a curtain and an upper divider.
- Blocking the middle seat to create maximum space and comfort for passengers.
- Full priority services on the ground – preferred check-in and boarding, and enhanced access to luxurious lounges across Europe.
Paul Verhagen, Commercial Vice President at SAS, stated: "Our customers place great emphasis on comfort and quality, and they expect a clear and defined business class that meets international standards. While the existing SAS Plus product provided an upgraded service experience, it lacked the recognition and clarity that passengers expect. With the launch of the new business class in Europe, we promise that SAS will deliver a premium experience on par with the leading airlines in Europe."
