Etihad Unveils Prestige: A Luxury Class in the New A321LR

The national airline of the United Arab Emirates has introduced its luxurious and renowned business class experience - for the first time on short and medium-haul flights, on the narrow-body Airbus A321LR. So, what awaits you in the indulgent Prestige class?

Etihad Airways revealed at the Arab Travel Market Dubai,  its new Airbus A321LR, bringing the original luxurious flying experience of wide-body planes to short and medium routes.

The new plane, which will enter service in August 2025, offers in its "Prestige" class two private suites, a business class with flat beds, and especially spacious economy seats.

The A321LR is equipped with a new generation fast Wi-Fi system, enabling browsing, streaming, and gaming throughout the flight. Alongside the upgrades on the plane itself, Etihad is also expanding its ground services for Prestige class customers, including personal concierge service, private check-in, and limousine transfer directly to the plane.

The plane will fly from Abu Dhabi to leading destinations such as Paris, Milan, Bangkok, Athens, Zurich, and Riyadh, yet it is still unknown whether it will be deployed on the route to Tel Aviv.

With the new suites, flat-bed business seats, and upgrades in the economy class, we have created a high-end flying experience in a narrow-body aircraft while maintaining fast connectivity throughout. The aircraft marks a groundbreaking moment for Etihad as we accelerate towards our 'Journey 2030' vision - doubling the fleet, tripling the number of passengers, and opening 16 new destinations by 2025."

Emirates is Also Innovating

Meanwhile, as part of the ATM tourism fair that opened today in Dubai, the local aviation giant Emirates presented the luxury classes in the new aircraft that has entered service with the company this year, Airbus A350, alongside renewing the classes in the A380 and Boeing 777 planes.
