Emirates strengthens Dubai's status as a global center for cruises.

Emirates Airline has announced the extension of its strategic partnership with the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) by continuing its prestigious Diamond Elite status. CLIA represents over 90% of the global cruise fleet, including more than 55 cruise lines. This partnership allows Emirates to deepen its involvement with industry leaders and enhance its presence in key cruise markets worldwide.

Adnan Kazim, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates, stated: "The extension of our Diamond Elite partnership with CLIA comes at a perfect time. The cruise industry is showing remarkable resilience and growing demand from diverse audiences. We intend to harness this growth potential, especially through connections with the broad business community of CLIA, which includes senior partners, travel agents, and advisors, in order to increase the number of cruise passengers arriving through our global network and premium experience."

He added: "The partnership with CLIA also solidifies Dubai's standing as one of the world's leading cruise destinations. Thanks to close collaboration with our partners, Dubai now offers an integrated service package that includes some of the world's most advanced maritime infrastructures, unique tourist attractions, and exceptional air connectivity. We are committed to continuing to enhance the city's appeal among cruise passengers."

Karin Grunberg, Vice President and Business Development Manager at CLIA, noted: "Emirates is a key partner in the cruise industry, and its commitment as a senior partner in CLIA demonstrates a desire to deepen collaborations and promote our advocacy efforts on behalf of member companies. In 2025, approximately 37.1 million passengers are expected to cruise worldwide, with Dubai continuing to develop as a significant destination and home port. Emirates is well-positioned for close collaboration with industry decision-makers to promote this emerging market."

As part of the Diamond Elite partnership, Emirates will benefit from unique access to cruise industry leaders through exclusive events and can secure prominent sponsorships at major conferences. The partnership also provides access to vital market research and data on traveler trends and demographics. Additionally, the company will promote Fly-Cruise packages and transportation solutions for maritime crews, alongside a strong presence on CLIA's digital platforms.
