Foreign Airlines Suspend Flights to Israel Amid Security Tensions

Airlines react to Yemen missile launch: Multiple foreign carriers suspend flights to and from Israel. Travelers should check with airlines for updates

Due to missile launches from Yemen towards Israel and the accompanying security tensions, several foreign airlines announced the temporary suspension of their flights to Israel.
We have compiled all the changes in airline operations:

21.05.25 15:40 | Ryanair

The Irish low-cost airline, Ryanair, announced the cancellation of its flights from and to Tel Aviv until June 11 (inclusive)

The French airline, Air France, announced the extension of its suspension of flights between Paris and Tel Aviv until May 25 (inclusive). The company stated: "Air France reminds that the safety of its customers and crews is its top priority. The company regularly monitors developments in the geopolitical situation in the area to ensure the highest level of flight safety and security."

20.05.25 12:40 | ITA

The Italian airline ITA announced it is extending the suspension of its flights to Ben Gurion until June 8. Passengers can get refunds or reschedule their flights for a later date.

20.05.25 11:00 | Lufthansa Group

The Lufthansa Group, which includes Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, SWISS, Brussels Airlines, and Eurowings, suspended its flights to Israel until June 8. Additionally, some flights to/from Tel Aviv have been temporarily removed from the June schedule (LH682/83; LH690/91; OS859/60).

The airline Air Seychelles canceled its flights until July 31 (inclusive).

The Baltic airline, AirBaltic, announced the cancellation of its flights to Israel until June 2 (inclusive).

19.05.25 15:30 | Ethiopian Airlines

The Ethiopian airline, Ethiopian Airlines expanded operations until May 31 to two daily flights. Active flights on the Tel Aviv-Addis Ababa route: ET419, ET405. Active flights on the Addis Ababa-Tel Aviv route: ET418, ET414. Canceled flights: ET404, ET415.

The Polish airline, LOT, canceled its flights to and from Israel until May 26 (inclusive).

The Indian airline, Air India, canceled its flights between Tel Aviv and India until June 19 (inclusive).

The American airline United Airlines also announced the cancellation of its flights from New York until June 12 (inclusive).

The British airline, British Airways, announced the most significant cancellation among foreign airlines, extending its flight suspension to Israel until June 14, inclusive.

07.05.25 22:30 | Iberia Express

The Spanish airline, Iberia Express, announced the cancellation of its flights until May 31. The company resumed its operations to Israel at the end of March 2025 after a prolonged suspension due to the security situation.
