Photo: Courtesy of the Israel Airports Authority Following numerous flight cancellations to and from Israel, after a missile fell near the access road to Ben Gurion Airport this morning, Airport Manager Udi Bar Oz issued a special statement.
"Ben Gurion Airport has been continuously open since the war began, with over 22 million passengers passing through. The safety and security of passengers, crews, and employees are our top priority. This morning, we experienced a missile fall near the access road. Within less than 30 minutes, Ben Gurion resumed normal operations of landings, take-offs, and terminal activities for all airlines."
He further mentioned that "naturally, airlines are assessing the situation regarding the continuation of their flights. Together with the Ministry of Transport, we are providing them with all the necessary information, 24-7, to ensure minimal impact on the flight schedule in the coming days."
Bar Oz concluded his remarks by saying: "Meanwhile, the Minister of Transport is conducting assessments to examine all possible scenarios in the coming days. The public is advised to check the website to find the updated flight schedule and, if necessary, contact the airlines."
