The new resort complex, which required an investment of around 10 million euros, is an unprecedented project of the tourism company, reflecting the company's strategy to expand its activity in tourism real estate. It will include a luxury hotel with 76 designed Finnish cabins, a spa center, and a restaurant.
The first 40 cabins are expected to be ready by the first quarter of 2026, with the remaining cabins to be completed by the end of 2027. The panoramic cabins, located in the heart of the arctic nature, will offer breathtaking views of snowy forests and provide an ultimate viewing experience of the Northern Lights - a unique experience for tourists.
The project is being carried out in collaboration with Arctic Panorama, owned by SIBI & Marketing OY, for the acquisition of 75% of the company and joint management of the complex. The complex will span an area of 15 dunams, with building rights covering 6,000 square meters for a period of 30 years and an option to extend for an additional 20 years.
According to Amit Zeldman, CFO of "Aviation Links": "The new resort and spa represent a significant and luxurious addition to Aviation Links' operations abroad. Combined with the completion of the deal, the resort and spa site in Lapland and additionally the luxury villa project we recently launched on the island of Paros in Greece, as well as the group's travel companies. We intend to continue investing in touristic real estate assets that complement the group's business activities."
Simon Biton, CEO of SIBI, noted: "The fact that in Finnish Lapland there is a growing demand for accommodation exceeding the supply, makes this move very logical. I believe that my long-standing relationship with Aviation Links, the Israeli market, and other markets will allow the resort and spa to thrive."
As mentioned, Lapland has become a popular destination for Israelis, with "Aviation Links" operating direct flights to the city of Rovaniemi since 2016 during the winter months, giving a significant advantage for the project's success.
