Major fire near Ramot HaShofet: A large-scale forest fire is occurring near Ramot HaShofet, with a substantial emergency response ongoing. Kibbutz Ramot HaShofet has been advised to stay inside for safety.
29 firefighting teams from Afula and additional stations in the district, alongside support teams from the Coastal District, are currently battling a widespread forest fire near Ramot HaShofet.
Firefighting forces are tackling the blaze using an observation helicopter, 8 firefighting aircraft, volunteer units, response center teams, and KKL foresters. Additional support is provided by firefighting trailers and heavy equipment from the Megiddo Regional Council.
The operational focus is on halting the fire fronts and protecting Kibbutz Ramot HaShofet, which has been instructed to stay indoors due to dense smoke in the area.
Israeli Police have closed Routes 66 and 672 near the fire. Visitors have been evacuated from Nahal HaShofet Park and Park Menashe.
The incident is not yet fully under control, and high-intensity efforts continue in the field.
