Busy Travel Period: "Memorial Day" is celebrated differently in the U.S. compared to Israel, effectively being a holiday for Americans.

This year, Memorial Day in the U.S. will be on May 26, 2025, which makes the upcoming weekend what they call "Memorial Day Weekend."

Every year, during this long weekend, from Thursday, May 22, 2025, to Monday, May 26, 2025, many travel to visit family and friends. In previous years, about 900,000 travelers have been recorded during this period.

Airports across the nation are issuing guidelines for travelers, such as Miami International Airport (MIA), which is preparing for a busy weekend and has published tips for passengers.

MIA management advises arriving three hours before your flight, checking parking availability in advance, and using public transportation to avoid delays.

According to MIA, these days are considered one of the busiest times of the year. The detailed recommendations include:

Early Arrival - It is recommended to arrive at the airport at least three hours before the flight to allow enough time for parking, check-in, and security screening.

Online Check-In: Checking in beforehand through the airline's website or app can save valuable time.

Check Parking Availability: Due to high demand, it is advisable to check parking space availability at the airport in advance.

Use Public Transportation: To avoid traffic congestion and parking issues, it is recommended to use public transportation services to get to the airport.

Additionally, airport management suggests travelers check the expected weather and stay updated on potential changes in flight schedules.
