This Morning (Thu): A 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck northeastern Crete, Greece

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 on the Richter scale occurred overnight (Thursday) approximately 58 km north-northeast of the city of Eloúnda on the island of Crete, Greece.

The quake's epicenter was recorded at a depth of about 68.9 kilometers below the surface. The event took place at 03:19 AM (UTC), according to the seismological center @EQTW.

Currently, there are no reports of casualties or significant damage.
