Air France inaugurated a new direct flight route yesterday (May 21) between Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris and the city of Orlando, Florida, further strengthening the company's presence in the American market.
The route will operate four times a week - on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays - using the latest and efficient Airbus A350-900 aircraft, featuring three service classes: advanced business, premium economy, and economy.
18th U.S. Destination
With the launch of this new route, Orlando joins Air France's extensive network of destinations in the United States, becoming the company's 18th destination in the country. Air France currently operates in major American hubs, including New York, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, Atlanta, Boston, Washington D.C., and more, making it one of the most active airlines on transatlantic routes.
Part of a Broad Global Strategy
Opening the new route fits into the comprehensive strategy of the Air France-KLM Group, which focuses on expanding its route network to North America and recovering after the COVID-19 pandemic. Orlando, known as a global tourism center thanks to its theme parks (Disney World, Universal, SeaWorld, and others), is considered an especially attractive destination for families and holidaymakers from Europe.
Additionally, this move strengthens the activity hub at Paris Charles de Gaulle, which is one of the important international aviation hubs in Europe, offering convenient connectivity to destinations worldwide.
