Thousands of Israelis are expected to fly during the Chanukah holiday and Shabbat Chanukah to the site of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov in Uman, Ukraine.

Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, many of them fly to neighboring countries and continue their journey by car and public transportation.

The United Hatzalah Uman branch reports that in the past two weeks, 27 incidents of injuries resulting from slipping on ice and snow near the Rabbi's grave in Uman have been treated. Additionally, several cases of respiratory issues due to the winter weather were addressed. It is noted that temperatures below zero are measured at night.

United Hatzalah calls and recommends that the thousands flying to Uman be prepared with warm clothing due to the wintry and snowy weather and to take all safety and precautionary measures to prevent slipping on ice and snow.

It is also recommended to ensure medical insurance before the flight, which saves hospitalization and evacuation costs.

United Hatzalah Uman stated: "The medical teams of United Hatzalah in Uman have been instructed to be equipped with medical gear at synagogues at the holy site and in prayer gatherings to be held in hotels near Rabbi Nachman of Breslov's site z"l during the Chanukah holiday and Shabbat Chanukah. The international emergency center of United Hatzalah will be reinforced during the Chanukah holiday, and in any medical emergency, call 063-800-1221 (local number in Ukraine), and the United Hatzalah center will immediately deploy the closest medical teams to the event location."
