Cruise Giant Royal Caribbean unveils the first look at its most innovative and ambitious destination to date – Perfect Day Mexico, set to open in Fall 2027.
This vast experiential destination spans over 800 acres on Mexico's Caribbean coast, featuring 7 distinct neighborhoods that offer an unprecedented blend of adrenaline, relaxation, and local culture – all designed for vacationers of all ages and types.
At the heart of the new destination is the Loco Waterpark – an enormous water park boasting over 30 slides across five slide towers. The highlight: Jaguar’s Peak, a slide tower soaring over 52 meters high, the tallest in North and South America. This tower hosts ten record-breaking slides, including the world's tallest family raft slide and the longest mat racing slide.
Splash Cove offers a more relaxed water experience, featuring the world’s longest lazy river with floating bars and multiple entry and exit points. At the neighborhood's center is a massive swimming pool spanning approximately 9,000 square meters. Kids will find plenty of activities here, including an expanded version of Splashaway Bay and dedicated pools.
Not just for families – adults can find their own space in El Hideaway, an area designated for ages 18+, featuring a direct beach access pool, in-water DJs, swim-up bars, and luxury cabanas for private events. For those seeking complete tranquility – Costa Beach Club offers a private beach, heated pool, gourmet dining, and cabanas with personalized service.
The destination also includes: Chill Beach area featuring a 3 km-long shoreline, loungers, umbrellas, and free towels; Fiesta Plaza, a vibrant welcome area with live performances and a giant sombrero bar; and, 12 locally inspired restaurants (almost all included in the price), 24 bars, Mariachi shows, Mexican art installations, and local artist stalls.
According to the company’s announcement, Perfect Day Mexico will become a major stop on Western Caribbean routes departing from Galveston, New Orleans, and Florida starting this fall, when bookings will also open.
Royal Caribbean CEO, Michael Bayley: “Perfect Day Mexico is the largest and boldest destination we’ve ever created. It marks a new pinnacle in our vacation experience, and we are thrilled to welcome visitors from around the world.”
It was also announced that the development will be carried out in collaboration with the Mexican government and local community, as part of the company's commitment to sustainable development under the SEA the Future initiative. Among other things, a new reception center will be built to offer tourist information and transportation services in the Mahahual region.
Alongside Perfect Day Mexico, Royal Caribbean plans to open three additional exclusive destinations in the coming years:
-
Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in The Bahamas (December 2025).
-
Royal Beach Club Cozumel in Mexico (2026).
-
Lelepa on Vanuatu Island in the South Pacific (early 2027).
Represented in Israel by Sanorama, Royal Caribbean serves over 7 million passengers annually, with a fleet of 28 ships and four more on order. By 2027, the company expects that 90% of vacationers in the Caribbean region will experience vacations at various Perfect Day destinations.
