The cruise giant Carnival Cruise Line is gearing up for a new record for the 2025 summer season.

According to the company's announcement regarding the U.S. market, between the end of May (Memorial Day) and the beginning of September (Labor Day), the company will sail with nearly two million passengers on 29 ships, visiting 100 destinations worldwide. The company is also preparing for the opening of its new destination in the Bahamas - Celebration Key.

The company further announced that the deployment of its three ships to Alaska, departing from Seattle and San Francisco, already offers sought-after experiences and will sail with about 100,000 passengers this summer. Carnival's popular European cruise series is already underway, with Carnival Miracle leading passengers to destinations in 17 additional countries. This year, the company marks 20 years of operations from the port of Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy. Additionally, three Carnival ships operate year-round from the cities of Sydney and Brisbane in Australia.

The company published five interesting facts about the 2025 summer season:

  • The estimated economic impact in the U.S. from Carnival passengers before and after cruises will amount to approximately $635 million.

  • Over the Memorial Day weekend, 23 cruises will depart from 10 U.S. homeports.

  • Starting from its opening on July 19, Celebration Key will host 15 Carnival ships from 8 different ports, with more than 80 visits until Labor Day.

  • During the summer, chef Guy Fieri's Guy’s Burger Joint will serve approximately 2.8 million burgers. Additionally, around 13 million ice cream cones and 2.4 million slices of pizza will be served.

  • The restaurants and bars on board will serve approximately 1.3 million glasses of wine, 4.4 million glasses of beer, and 6.5 million cans of soft drinks over the next three months.

"Summer is the busiest time of the year for tourism, and Carnival Cruise Line is preparing for one of our biggest cruise seasons ever," said Christine Duffy, the company president. "Many Americans live within a five-hour drive from one of our 13 U.S. homeports, making it convenient for them to join our fun-filled cruises. With most meals, activities, and entertainment included in the price, cruising with Carnival offers an especially affordable alternative to land vacations. This summer will be particularly unforgettable with the opening of Celebration Key on Grand Bahama Island – an innovative destination that will change the game and provide our guests with the ultimate day in paradise."
