Lufthansa Group extends flight suspension to Israel until June 15.

Lufthansa Group's flights to Israel, previously canceled until June 8, will remain suspended at least until June 15, 2025. This is an additional extension of the suspension of air operations by Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Eurowings, and Brussels Airlines to Ben Gurion Airport, against the backdrop of the ongoing security situation and updated risk assessment.

The companies in the group continue to monitor developments, but at this stage, a return to regular operations is not expected before the middle of next month.

Recall that this morning we reported that today, Monday, May 26, 2025, approximately 56,600 passengers are expected to pass through Ben Gurion Airport on international flights - incoming and outgoing - as part of 355 flights scheduled for today.

According to the data, approximately 26,900 passengers are expected to depart from Israel and about 29,700 passengers to enter - a significant movement given the security situation and suspension of flights by a substantial number of foreign airlines.
