The airline from the group that halted its flights to Israel launches a new class.
Eurowings, the low-cost carrier of the Lufthansa Group, announces an innovative move for medium-haul flights.
Starting in November 2025, the company will offer a Premium BIZ Seat on A320neo aircraft, as part of the new route between Berlin and Dubai. This is a groundbreaking move for narrow-body aircraft in Germany, which until now were limited to more basic comfort levels.
The new seats, manufactured by the Italian company Geven, will be arranged in a 2X2 configuration and offer wider personal space, enhanced privacy, adjustable backrests, and ergonomic design, ensuring comfort similar to that in wide-body aircraft. Each plane will include only eight of these seats, available on the company’s website from August.
This initiative is part of a broader service revolution planned by Eurowings in the coming years, which also includes the renewal of its fleet with the expected addition of 40 Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft starting in 2027.
The new premium seat will be added to the existing medium-haul offering, which includes the BIZclass with an empty middle seat and improved legroom, as well as SMART and BASIC tickets in the economy class.
