United Returns to Israel: Flights Resume to Tel Aviv Starting June 5

United Airlines announced overnight (between Friday and Saturday) that flights from NewArk to Tel Aviv will resume earlier than expected. Initially, it was reported flights would be canceled until June 12.

According to the official statement, the first United flight from Tel Aviv to New York will depart as soon as June 5, and starting June 6, the airline will operate two daily flights on the New York/Newark to Tel Aviv route.

The company stresses the decision to resume operations was made following a comprehensive operational risk assessment, along with close coordination with pilots and flight crews unions.

Renewing the route is particularly important given the high demand for flights between Israel and the United States, with currently only three airlines operating the direct route: El Al, Delta Air Lines, and Arkia.

It's worth noting that the American airline Delta Air Lines resumed its flights to Israel approximately ten days ago, and other European airlines have recently resumed their operations, including Air France, Aegean Airlines, and others.
