Traditional Salute Ceremony. Photo: Matej Ondrejicka Following the festive launch of the seasonal flight to Bratislava last Thursday, the first flight from Overseas to the spa town of Piestany took off last night (Shavuot Eve), officially opening the company's third summer season in Slovakia.
The flight, departing from Ben Gurion Airport to Piestany Airport, was received with a traditional water salute, as is customary for a grand opening of new flight routes. Thus, Overseas, a part of Genesis Tourism Group, completed the opening of the dual route to Slovakia – to Bratislava on Thursdays and Piestany on Sundays – which will run until the end of October.
