The first flight from Overseas to Piestany has taken off – the third season is underway.

Following the festive launch of the seasonal flight to Bratislava last Thursday, the first flight from Overseas to the spa town of Piestany took off last night (Shavuot Eve), officially opening the company's third summer season in Slovakia.

The flight, departing from Ben Gurion Airport to Piestany Airport, was received with a traditional water salute, as is customary for a grand opening of new flight routes. Thus, Overseas, a part of Genesis Tourism Group, completed the opening of the dual route to Slovakia – to Bratislava on Thursdays and Piestany on Sundays – which will run until the end of October.

"We are excited to open the third season with the first flight to the spa town of Piestany," stated Vered Schwartz, Co-CEO at Overseas. "This journey would not be possible without the fruitful collaboration with the Tourism Office of Trnava Region and Piestany Airport – true partners on the path, with a common vision to make the destination attractive and beloved by the Israeli audience."

A Winning Combination of Bratislava and Piestany

The launch in Piestany follows the successful opening of the Bratislava route, which started as noted last week. Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, offers visitors a classic European experience – with a bustling old town, an impressive castle overlooking the Danube, picturesque alleys, rich local cuisine, and vibrant nightlife.

Piestany, on the other hand, is a perfect destination for a relaxing and healthy vacation. This tranquil town in western Slovakia, set in the heart of a green and pastoral region, is regarded as a touristic gem due to its thermal springs, famous mud treatments, and natural landscapes. It is also geographically close to Bratislava, allowing travelers to easily and comfortably combine the two destinations.

"The Trnava Region and this country are simply eager for the Israeli crowd," added Pini Kreiner, Co-CEO at Overseas. "The locals welcome Israelis with love. We feel wanted, safe, and enjoy every moment here. This is a beautiful country in a strategic location that Israelis simply must discover."

Slovakia – The Next Summer Destination

The summer of 2025 marks the introduction of Slovakia into the list of prominent destinations for Israeli tourists. The pleasant weather, breathtaking sceneries, affordable prices, and sense of security all create the perfect combination for a family, couple, or wellness vacation.

Overseas' activity positions Slovakia as an accessible, diverse, and attractive destination – with direct routes from Tel Aviv, affordable vacation packages, and close cooperation with local authorities.
