Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) continues to elevate the flight experience with an exciting new alcoholic twist.

Starting in July, business and first class passengers on long-haul flights with Switzerland's national airline can enjoy a new and exclusive cocktail: SWISS Alpine Essence - a delicate, floral drink inspired by the classic White Negroni.

This is the first cocktail ever developed by SWISS in collaboration with award-winning mixologist Sarah Madritsch and the prestigious IGNIV bar in Zurich, part of the menu of chef Andreas Caminada.

Madritsch, Switzerland's "Bartender of the Year" and former manager of one of the country's most innovative bars, has created a beverage that combines dry white vermouth, elderflower syrup, crème de menthe, white crème de cacao, and hints of citrus and herbs. This refreshing, sophisticated, and precise addition complements any meal or serves as an aperitif.

"We wanted to give SWISS passengers a taste experience that reflects the freshness and lightness of the Alpine regions, just as it feels in the Swiss outdoors," said Madritsch. She added, "I'm proud of the result, and it's exciting to know that our creation will be tasted by passengers worldwide."

According to Heike Birlenbach, SWISS Chief Commercial Officer: "The new drink is more than a cocktail. It's part of a broader strategy to deepen our flight experience, with an authentic Swiss signature and meticulous attention to detail."

The cocktail will be offered to first and business class passengers on all intercontinental flights, with first-class travelers even having the option to select it as a welcome drink before takeoff.

By the coming September, the airline plans to include the cocktail in the SWISS Saveurs menu on short and medium-distance flights, allowing economy class passengers to savor this unique experience as well.
