NCL Releases 2024 Sustainability Report: Balancing Dream Vacations with Environmental and Social Responsibility

Company Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd has released its 2024 annual sustainability report under the name "Sail & Sustain".

The company (NYSE: NCLH), which operates Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, published a report detailing its efforts to promote a lasting positive impact as part of its strategic vision "Charting the Course".

"The report reflects our ongoing commitment to responsible and sustainable business conduct over time," said Harry Sommer, President and CEO of the company. "We are proud of our progress and will continue to thoughtfully implement our strategy both on a daily basis and in the long term — from operating our ships to supporting our people, communities, and the guest experience we provide".

The Sail & Sustain plan is the company's global action framework, aiming to promote responsible operational excellence while fulfilling the vision of providing an enriched vacation experience ("Vacation Better. Experience More"). The program is based on 5 key principles developed in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders:

  • Sailing Safely.

  • Empowering People.

  • Strengthening Our Communities.

  • Operating with Integrity & Accountability.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd operates a fleet of 33 ships with about 70,050 berths, offering cruise routes to approximately 700 destinations worldwide. By 2036, the company expects to add 12 new ships which will increase the fleet by more than 37,500 berths.
