NCL Unveils a New Sustainability Report: Balancing Dream Vacations with Social and Environmental Responsibility

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd released its annual sustainability report for 2024 under the title "Sail & Sustain."

The company (NYSE: NCLH), which operates the Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, published a report detailing its efforts to drive positive, lasting impact as part of its strategic vision "Charting the Course."

"The report reflects our continuous commitment to responsible and sustainable business practices over the long term," said Harry Sommer, the company's president and CEO. "We are proud of our progress and will continue to pursue our strategy both daily and long-term—from operating the ships to how we support our people, communities, and the guest experiences we provide."

The Sail & Sustain program is the company's global action framework aimed at promoting responsible operational excellence while fulfilling the vision of offering an enriched and quality vacation experience ("Vacation Better. Experience More"). The program is based on five key principles developed in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders:

  • Caring for Nature.

  • Sailing Safely.

  • Empowering People.

  • Strengthening Our Communities.

  • Operating with Integrity & Accountability.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd operates a fleet of 33 ships with approximately 70,050 beds, offering cruise routes to about 700 destinations worldwide. By 2036, the company plans to add 12 new ships, adding over 37,500 beds to the existing fleet.
