Russian Tourists Rediscover Eilat.

A major celebration took place this evening (June 12) with the landing of the first Red Wings flight from Moscow at Ramon Airport after five years.

In a conversation with PassportNews, Ksenia Vorontsova, the representative of the Israeli Ministry of Tourism in Russia, expressed her confidence that this is just the beginning. Watch the conversation with PassportNews:

How does it feel to be here?

"The feeling is amazing; just arriving and seeing the desert and the sea blending together, you feel this beautiful and incredible place. I'm so happy that Russian tourists will discover this area again, after five years of zero tourism."

Vorontsova added, "I'm sure tourists from Russia will return with a greater number of flights and larger planes."

The representative of the Israeli Ministry of Tourism in Russia concluded, "The Russian audience truly loves Eilat and I hope very soon we will see many Russians here."

As mentioned, RED WINGS flight landed today (June 12) at Ramon Airport, five years since the last flight from Moscow landed at the southern airport.

As we reported earlier today, another airline, Azimuth, plans to soon operate direct flights between Russia and Ramon Airport for tourists interested in visiting the southern resort city.
