Israel Conducts Preemptive Strike Against Iran: Immediate Changes to Home Front Command Guidelines

Effective immediately from 3:00 AM today, Israel's Home Front Command adjusts its defense strategy, restricting activities to essential operations only. Israel's airspace is completely shut until further notice

Due to Israel's preemptive strike on Iran, the Home Front Command's defense policy has changed.

After an assessment, it was decided that starting today at 3:00 AM, there would be an immediate change in the defense policy of the Home Front Command. The changes involve transitioning all areas of the country from full activity to essential activity status. The guidelines include prohibitions on educational activities, gatherings, and workplaces, except for essential services.

Continue to follow the guidelines published by the Home Front Command through official distribution channels. Complete instructions will be updated on the National Emergency Portal and the Home Front Command app.

Additionally, the Ministry of Transportation announces that Israel's airspace is closed to takeoffs and landings until further notice.

The closure aims to prevent and minimize risks to passengers and aircraft. Passengers scheduled to depart from Ben Gurion Airport today are advised to stay home and not to travel to the airport. Passengers will be notified via media at least 6 hours before the airspace reopens and can check the new time for their flights on the airline websites and the Israel Airports Authority website.

Passengers located abroad whose flights were canceled, or did not depart, or landed at other airports, are advised to follow media updates and upon the reopening of the airspace, to check the new flight times on the airline websites.
