US President Donald Trump issued a dramatic announcement on his social network, Truth Social, declaring a comprehensive ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran to end the so-called '12-Day War'.

According to Trump, the ceasefire will be implemented gradually: Iran will commence the ceasefire in about six hours, and Israel will follow 12 hours later, officially ending the conflict in 24 hours.

"During each phase of the ceasefire, all parties will remain peaceful and respectful," Trump wrote, adding, "I congratulate both nations for the courage, endurance, and intelligence to end what should be called the '12-Day War.'"

Trump emphasized that this is a complete agreement between the parties and presented it as a global diplomatic achievement. He remarked that it was a war that could have lasted years and devastated the region – but this was prevented.

"This was a war that could have destroyed the entire Middle East, but it did not – and never will," he wrote.

He concluded his post with his familiar blessing:
"God bless Israel, God bless Iran, God bless the Middle East, the United States, and God bless the world!"

As of now, there has been no official confirmation from Israel or Iran regarding the agreement.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio also recently shared the US President's ceasefire post on his Twitter page.

According to foreign reports, one of the mediators of the deal was Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed Al Thani, who influenced Iran to agree to the ceasefire.
