TAROM Resumes Flights to Israel: The Romanian Airline That Stayed During the Conflict
The Romanian airline, one of the few that did not suspend its flights to Israel even during the conflict period since October 7 - except for a few days - has announced the renewal of its regular flights to Tel Aviv starting Thursday, June 26, 2025.
In a statement issued by the company, it was announced that the decision to return to operations was made following an improvement in the security situation in the region and after consultation with relevant official and security entities.
Throughout recent months, TAROM has maintained outstanding loyalty to Israel, continuing flights even when many other companies ceased operations. Now, with the ceasefire with Iran taking effect, it is resuming regular operation on the Bucharest–Tel Aviv route.
The company announced that it would continue a regular dialogue with aviation and security authorities and adjust its operations according to developments, to ensure the safety and security of passengers and crew.
TAROM thanked its passengers for their trust and loyalty and emphasized its commitment to continue providing continuous, safe, and professional service.
It is worth noting that shortly after the missile from Yemen fell at Ben Gurion Airport, the regional sales manager for the Romanian airline, TAROM, Camelia Hacisalim (Camelia Hacisalim) stated in an exclusive interview with PassportNews: "The route to Israel continues to soar with confidence." She added: "Our security personnel and staff constantly analyze the information coming through the Civil Aviation Authority and have decided it is safe to fly to Tel Aviv now. Of course, safety is a top priority for commercial aviation, and we decided to fly."
As mentioned, after halting its flights due to the closure of airspace at the outbreak of the war with Iran, the company has decided to resume flights to Israel immediately.
