Emirates launches a new and highly significant route for the Emirati aviation giant, 4 months after the official announcement of its opening.
For the first time, the company's flight landed today (July 1, 2025) in Shenzhen, the fourth-largest city in China, considered the capital of the country's high-tech industry and one of the high-tech capitals of the East.
On board flight EK328, which took off from Dubai Terminal at 3:35 AM and arrived in Shenzhen at 3:30 PM, were several of Emirates' top executives and leading industry figures from Dubai. The flight took 7 hours and 55 minutes.

The schedule supports connections from Dubai to destinations across Africa, Europe, and America and is particularly important nowadays for Israelis looking to fly to China, with the only direct option currently being with Hainan Airlines flying to Beijing.
The easier option to reach the East, and indeed all Emirates destinations departing from Dubai, is to use partner company FlyDubai, which is currently conducting an exceptionally large number of flights between Tel Aviv and Dubai. The large number of flights allows for almost any convenient timing for connecting flights to Emirates destinations.

Flights are operated by the company's newly refurbished Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, which accommodate 332 passengers across Economy, Premium Economy, Business Class, and First Class suites.
