The Dutch airline KLM will operate flights to 161 destinations worldwide this summer, with a 4% increase in seat availability compared to last summer, and is expected to carry 6.5 million passengers in July-August alone.
However, while destinations in Europe, North America, and Asia are strengthening, the route between Tel Aviv and Amsterdam will remain suspended for now, following the company's announcement that the resumption of activity in Israel will be evaluated later, according to regional developments.
New Routes and Record-Breaking Demand
KLM is launching six new routes this summer, including three intercontinental routes: San Diego (USA), Georgetown (capital of Guyana), and Hyderabad (India - starting September), and three in Europe: Ljubljana (Slovenia), Exeter (UK), and Biarritz (France).
According to the company's report, the demand for bookings on the routes to San Diego, Ljubljana, and Biarritz is already particularly high.
The season will officially open this coming weekend (July 4-6), during which KLM expects to accommodate approximately 330,000 passengers on its flights.

The Dutch airline reports that demand for European cities such as London, Rome, and Berlin continues to be strong, and on long-haul flights, destinations like Tokyo, New York, Cape Town, and Curaçao stand out at the top of the chart.
Accordingly, flight frequencies are increased on several routes:
Intercontinental:
Kilimanjaro/Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) - Daily flights
Las Vegas - Daily flights until the end of August
Osaka and Tokyo (Japan) - Weekly additions from September
Edmonton (Canada) - Increased to 6 flights at peak season
Cape Town and Curaçao - Additions from October
Within Europe:
Barcelona, Porto, Belfast, Krakow, and Poznan - Additional daily flights
Split - Increased seasonal frequency
Milan - Activity focused solely at Linate Airport (instead of Malpensa).
It should be noted that while its alliance partner Air France will resume Paris-Tel Aviv flights this coming Monday (July 7), KLM has announced that its flights to Israel will remain suspended until further notice.
The Dutch company, which resumed flights to Israel after a year-long hiatus on May 31, had to cease its flights due to the war with Iran.
