A Luxurious Experience Awaits American Express has announced its plan to open The Centurion Lounge at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam in 2026.

This will be the first lounge of its kind operated by an international credit card company at the airport, designed for eligible card members seeking a premium comfort experience between gates E and F.

The lounge will feature calming shades of blue, green, and earth tones, inspired by Amsterdam's canals and unique architecture. The design will blend modern style with art from local artists, and include wide windows offering plenty of natural light and views of the bustling Kiss & Ride area of the airport.

"We are proud that American Express will be the first global credit card company to operate its own lounge - the iconic Centurion Lounge - at Schiphol Airport," said Dave Stroop, Terminal Development Manager at Schiphol Commercial. "We worked closely with the American Express team to make this a reality, and we believe it's a significant enhancement to the passenger experience."

At the heart of the lounge, a coffee bar will be established, a tribute to the Dutch coffee culture and its embodiment of social gatherings.

Guests will enjoy a warm, relaxed, and inviting atmosphere, along with all the comforts that Centurion Lounges offer: quality meals, beverages, comfortable seating areas, workstations with power outlets, and high-speed wireless internet.

"Hundreds of thousands of American Express card members pass through Schiphol every year, so the new lounge will be an important addition to our Centurion Lounge network worldwide," said Audrey Hendley, President of American Express Travel. "Today's travelers are looking for authentic local experiences, and the new Amsterdam lounge will provide just that - a premium experience with a touch of Dutch culture and history."

The new Amsterdam lounge joins American Express's Centurion Lounge network - the company's flagship program, which is part of a global lounge collection.

The network offers complimentary access to Centurion Lounges, Escape Lounges, Delta Sky Club (for card members flying with Delta), Priority Pass Lounges (with enrollment), Plaza Premium, selected Lufthansa lounges, and over 1,550 lounges in more than 140 countries.
