The Revitalized Kfar Giladi Hotel in Kibbutz Kfar Giladi in the Upper Galilee is reopening after a prolonged closure. With a total investment of approximately 8 million ILS (approximately $2.2 million USD), the hotel unveils upgraded guest rooms, restored heritage sites, restaurants, galleries, guided tours, and additional attractions. Of the total amount, 3 million ILS (approximately $800,000 USD) was invested directly in the hotel, with an additional 5 million ILS (approximately $1.4 million USD) allocated for various kibbutz attractions.

In the culinary domain, the hotel has appointed Chef Aviv Moshe as a culinary consultant. Chef Moshe collaborated with the hotel's chef, Ilan Asraf, to develop a new menu featuring a variety of rotating chef dishes using ingredients sourced from Galilee producers and farmers. The menu caters to vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and lactose-intolerant guests. "The hotel's reopening brings new hope for reviving the north. Being involved in the culinary and tourism revival of Israel's most beautiful region, so impacted by conflict, is vital," said Chef Aviv Moshe.

Beyond the rooms, food, and pools, the hotel offers a variety of family attractions:

"The Lools Trail": Opened with an investment of about 1.5 million ILS (approximately $400,000 USD). The trail provides a rural experience with second-hand and boutique shops, cafes, a local brewery (set to open to the public in September), a pizzeria, art galleries, and more.

Guided tours of heritage sites: Kibbutz heritage sites have also been renovated, offering guided tours in Beit Rishonim - the building where the kibbutz hosted Joseph Trumpeldor and his comrades from the Hashomer organization in the 1920s, who dined there. Visitors can learn about the institution's pioneering history.

Pioneer Adventure: A family treasure hunt game around the kibbutz.

Armin Grunewald, CEO of Kfar Giladi Hotel: "After a year and five months closed due to security threats and again due to the conflict with Iran, we are thrilled to resume full activities at the peak of the season. The Kfar Giladi Hotel reflects the experience and attractions of the kibbutz, connecting with the community, heritage, atmosphere, culinary flavors, and landscapes to offer a holistic experience for families."

Tamir Abrams, CEO of Kfar Giladi Tourism: "The new tourism complex in the heart of Kibbutz Kfar Giladi will provide visitors with an authentic Galilean experience, combining nature, culture, history, and agriculture. The complex will offer a variety of activities, rural hospitality, tours, and unique experiences, connecting guests to the location's unique story. This is a significant tourism announcement for the region, and we invite the general public to come, enjoy, and fall in love with the Galilee."

How much does it cost to stay at the hotel?

To celebrate the reopening, the hotel offers a limited-time promotional price for bookings made within the next week:

Starting at 1,450 ILS (approximately $400 USD) per night midweek and from 1,750 ILS (approximately $480 USD) per night on weekends during July for 2 adults + 2 children free + free dinner + free access to attractions.

Additionally, it is worth mentioning that Kibbutz Kfar Giladi has recently completed the full acquisition of the Galilee Hotel. On this acquisition, Abrams noted that it "is part of the strategic vision for tourism development in the Upper Galilee, allowing us to offer a wide, diverse, and quality vacation experience while preserving the local character and style. The goal is to create synergy between the two tourism sites while expanding the offerings and services. We believe in the growth and development expected in the north after the conflict, with a deep conviction that Kfar Giladi should return to its historical role of leading development in the Galilee."
