Exciting New Terminal in Miami. Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, together with PS, a company that operates private terminals for commercial flight passengers, launched the construction of a new private terminal at Miami's airport (MIA).
The terminal, to be named PS MIA, is expected to open in Spring 2026.
This special project will be set up in the historic Pan American headquarters located at 4900 NW 36th Street, declared a Miami-Dade heritage site since 2014. The building will undergo preservation and renovation, emphasizing the iconic brutalist architectural features of the mid-20th century.

The complex will include:
5 private passenger suites,
2 lounges offering exquisite dining services,
A central outdoor courtyard,
and a daytime spa with beauty treatments and massages.
The design will incorporate materials such as terrazzo, marble, smoked glass, and bold patterns reminiscent of the styles of Lilly Pulitzer and Marimekko, inspired by Miami's vibrant culture.
According to Mayor Daniella Levine Cava: "We are opening a new era of luxury travel experience and breathing life into an iconic building that contributed to aviation history. This project connects respect for the past with a clear vision for the future."
The initiative is a collaboration between RJ Heisenbottle Architects, specialists in preserving historic buildings, and renowned interior designer Cliff Fong, who also led the design of the PS terminal at Los Angeles Airport (LAX).
