Strong Traffic Expected. In the coming week, many in Europe are expected to embark on their summer holidays, which will extend until the first week of September. At Berlin-Brandenburg Airport (BER), they anticipate that from Wednesday, July 23, through Sunday, September 7, approximately 3.7 million passengers will pass through the airport, an increase of about 100,000 passengers compared to summer 2024.
During the next long weekend alone, from Wednesday, July 23, to Sunday, July 27, the airport expects 390,000 passengers. Throughout the entire European holiday period, 24,300 aircraft are expected to take off and land in Berlin.

Majorca Leads
Among the top destinations again this year are Mediterranean holiday spots like Turkey, Spain, Italy, and France, with Palma de Majorca leading. During the vacation period, up to 70 flights per week will depart for Majorca. Overall, more than 70 airlines will connect BER airport to 150 destinations in 50 countries this summer.
